I recently had the opportunity to assist a gentleman who was arrested and had to wear an ankle monitoring device. He was allergic to one of the substances that the device was made of. He had a rash over much of his body that was very itchy and made him very uncomfortable. I was able to review pictures of his rash and study his case. Then, I wrote an opinion to the court in favor of removing the device or giving my client a different device that he was not allergic to. The judge ordered the monitoring device removed and my client’s skin problem went away. He was very happy that his skin was once again free of a diffuse dermatitis.
