Start With the Medical Evidence
A poor outcome alone does not establish medical negligence.
I review the available records to understand the patient’s presentation, the care provided, and the clinical decisions documented by the treating providers.
My role is to identify whether the medical evidence supports concerns about the care provided within my areas of expertise.
If it does, I’ll explain what I found. If it doesn’t, I’ll tell you that too.
Emergency Medicine Case Review
Depending on the matter, I may review:
- Emergency department charts
- History and physical
- Discharge summaries
- Physician progress notes
- Other relevant medical documentation
The objective is to understand what happened clinically and determine whether the record supports a finding of negligence.

From Case Review to Expert Support
1. Medical Record Review
You provide the relevant records and I personally review the medical evidence.
2. Findings
I discuss my findings with you by phone and provide a written report.
3. Affidavit of Merit
When I identify negligence within Emergency Medicine or Primary Care, I can prepare an affidavit of merit detailing my findings.
4. Deposition and Trial
I can remain involved as the matter proceeds through deposition and trial.
